Love it or hate it, vintage and fur have been close companions over the decades. It’s hard to ignore fur when you deal in vintage. Some with a strong dislike for fur certainly do, and others buy, sell, and wear it with abandon. I fall somewhere in the middle. I don’t buy a ton, or sell a ton either. I don’t wear it much, but have acquired some special pieces over the years. This latest collection features some of them, many of which I’ve had in my inventory for several years.
Fur was used much more commonly in past decades, therefore, there’s plenty of vintage fur available. If stored well, it can stand the test of time and remain in great condition. I have a hard time supporting any form of “new” fur when vintage fur is easily obtainable, beautiful, affordable, and worth recycling.
I know many out there disagree with wearing fur no matter what, but if you’re someone who loves the look, feel, and warmth of fur, vintage is the way to go.
