For this week’s collection, I put lots of thought into gathering vintage items
that make great unique gifts and would appeal to a broad range of people.
Scarves and jewelry are classic go-to gift ideas.
For the scarf I chose something elegant – Japanese silk by designer Oscar de la Renta –
with a pretty black and white floral print – wearable in every season with a tasteful design.
For jewelry I chose a cuff bracelet in silver tone Kirk pewter – not too dressy and good for everyday wear –
with an etched floral design – simple but detailed.
Vintage purses and hats make squeal-worthy gifts as well.
It’s hard to go wrong choosing a little black purse – not to small, not too big –
this 1930’s corde purse has tons of character – good for day or evening use
(this one was hard to part with!)
A vintage beret has such a modern feel – an appealing look for many –
this Kangol brand beret has a rich burgundy color & soft mohair – so easy to fall in love with.
And now a few surprise gifts and one that should be in every vintage-girls closet.
Vintage driving gloves made of leather and crochet – a gift that’s totally unexpected,
but quickly will turn “can’t live without” – with ridiculously soft leather and comfy, flexible crochet.
If you have to wear glasses, why not store them in a fun place? Try a vintage eyeglasses case
– a fun paisley print and cute snap lock closure – still safe and secure, but stored in style.
And the must have – the vintage black cashmere cardigan – goes with everything, can be worn by anyone,
perfect to grab on the go – and crazy soft isn’t too bad either.
I even remembered the guys! A few ideas with a twist on the classic guy gift.
Socks, a tie, and some cuff links – check, check, check. But why not have a little fun with it?
1950’s socks – unworn with the original tag attached – in the best colors with the best print.
Love the bow tie wearing guy, but does he have a 1950’s silk bow tie with a convertible car print? Doubt it!
For the cuff link collector – 1960’s swordfish cuff links by Swank – SO COOL!
If you know a guy who loves 1960’s style, this is a PERFECT all-in-one gift!
1960’s gift box set with matching black socks and skinny tie – wonderful winter scene on the gift box
– never out of the package – boom!
If you see the perfect gift for someone special (or for yourself), make it yours by heading over to the Etsy shop
