I love my house.
We bought it 15 years ago, at auction, as is. It’s an 1830’s farmhouse we’ve been slowly restoring
and I could continue gushing on and on about it, but that will be a later post.
I decided to create a whole category dedicated to “This Old House”, because
my house has become the heart of my “vintage life”, and there’s lots I could share with you about it.
It’s where I work, but it’s also a place where I’m surrounded by inspiration.
Things come in that I buy to resell, and sometimes they find a place on a wall for a while,
or maybe something on the wall becomes a new addition to the shop.
It’s a huge part of my process – both in work and life.
Here you’ll find posts about our renovation projects, past and present.
Tinkering with an old house I’m finding, is a never ending process.
I’ll share ideas and plans for future plans too, as well as the fruits of my constant search for inspiration.
– Decoration –
I’ll share my forever evolving decorating schemes, always with some vintage twist,
as well as my many collections. And that’s not limited to the indoors only! I’ll take you outside too
as I embark on realizing my dream of being a “gardener”.
(This may be painful to watch, but I’m determined to give it my all,
even though I lack even the lightest shade of green on my thumbs).
– And Not Just MY House –
I am constantly pulling over to the side of the road to snap a picture
of a romantic Queen Anne Victorian or a quaint Craftsman Bungalow.
Even creepy, abandoned farmhouses catch my eye.
You’ll find posts here of other old homes as well, too wonderful to keep to myself.
